QCIHungary – Deploy Advanced Quantum Communication Infrastructure in Hungary
Duration: 01.2023-06.2025
As member of the Hungarian consortium, we are working on the deployment of the national quantum communication infrastructure. Our work is part of EuroQCI, the European Quantum Communication Infrastructure. We are responsible for leading the Work Package 4 Free-space and metropolitan telecom fibre-based QKD developments as well as Work Package 6 Quantum communication education and training.

As member of a national consortium, we are working on the implementation of a national quantum communication network which can be connected to neighboring countries as well.

HunQuTech: A Hungarian Quantum Technology Flagship Project

As member of a national consortium, we are responsible for quantum-based communications. Our focus is on further development of our wired-based quantum key distribution system as well as on a technology demonstration of free-space quantum communications.

COST Action CA15220. The Quantum Technologies in Space (QTSPACE) focuses on different applications of quantum technology in space environment. Dr. László Bacsárdi is the Science Communication Manager of the project as well as substitute management committee member for Hungary.

COST Action CA16220. The European Network for High Performance Integrated Microwave Photonics (EUIMWP) Action aims to shape and bring the relevant IMWP community supporting coordination and networking actions to consolidate this new IMWP ecosystem. Dr. Eszter Udvary is the co-leader of the IMWP for automotive working group.

COST Action CA19111. The European Network on Future Generation Optical Wireless Communication Technologies (NEWFOCUS) aims to establish optical wireless communications (OWC) as an efficient technology that can satisfy the demanding requirements of backhaul and access network levels in beyond 5G networks. Dr. Eszter Udvary is the Hungarian management committee member, Mr Balázs Matolcsy is substitute member.
